- Give the wood time to re-equilibrate. Wood doesn't snap back to a new moisture content the moment the air around it changes — expect several days to a week before the top, neck, and action settle at the new humidity. Adjusting anything mechanical before that window passes means adjusting twice.
- Only then evaluate what's left. If action, relief, or a buzz is still off after the environment has been stable for a week, you're looking at a genuine mechanical issue rather than a humidity swing, and it's worth working through properly rather than guessing.
